What You Will Learn
The KINNECT Training Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety means firstly completing the initial core units of the qualification giving you knowledge and understanding in workplace health and safety legislation, management systems, safety consultation and participation, hazard ID and risk controls.
The elective focus on the Health and Safety stream means you will gain further important understanding on identifying risk, implementing and monitoring workplace health and safety policies and procedures, emergency response systems and then be able to effectively communicate the safety message.

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety program can be completed either online or face to face, whatever suits your situation and your learning style best.
Face to Face
5 Day Course – 8AM – 4:30PM
This requires attendance for 5 days and the completion of post course assessments. These assessments will enable you to apply your knowledge and skills developed over the face to face period
Using our online learning platform, you can complete this program at your own pace. The course features a combination of videos, audio and readings and web research all designed to enhance the learning experience for each. As the course is self paced, you will be able to log in and continue on from where you left off.
Should you commence the online program and feel that you would benefit from the face to face course, there is always the ability to transfer to the face to face courses (A fee may apply depending on the level of completion in the online program and is assessed on a case by case basis).

Successful completion of this program will result in the awarding of the nationally accredited qualification BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Become a Health and Safety Practitioner – Safety and Health Specialist.
This course is suited to those people wanting to become a Health and Safety Practitioner in the workplace and help workplaces best manage safety. The core units of BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety are completed and then the focus is on identifying risk and them implementing, monitoring and communicating controls in the workplace.
There are no prerequisites for this program.
There are no pre-requisites for this qualification. However, there is a significant amount of reading and writing during the course and access to a computer is required for assignments and internet-based research.

How long does it take to complete this program?
This depends on a number of things including time you can allocate to complete the post course submissions after your initial 5 days in class, or your online component. Your experience in the area of workplace safety and understanding safety processes also helps in completing in a more timely manner. An initial 12 months is provided to complete the course and support from a Trainer / Assessor is always available. We will also regularly check in on your progress and offer support.

No, there is no expiry date set on this qualification.
What platform is used for the webinars?
KINNECT Training uses the webinar platform Zoom . If your organisation has another platform that is needed to be used due to IT security please contact us to discuss.
Is there support available when completing the online component of this course?
Absolutely. You can access a trainer at any stage via the message feature in the learning management system, by direct email or phone support is available. The KINNECT Training Knowledge Base is also available for you to refer to at any time which has research, videos, templates and links to valuable recognised sites to help you maintain skills in drug and alcohol testing.
