Manual handling training specifically for the healthcare industry
Meeting the best practice standards and ensuring your team is made up of highly skilled carers is the goal for all providers delivering personal and clinical care. It is vitally important in the healthcare industry that all staff understand the key points of body mechanics for themselves and their customers and that they are well trained in the use of standard mobility and independence equipment.
Evidence shows that a lack of training and the variation in staff experience can lead to inconsistency in everyday practices. Unpredictable and difficult activities like patient handling can lead to increased injury and increased injury claims. Workplace processes need to ensure a consistent application of manual handling standards and ensure consistent knowledge and effective application of industry equipment and processes.
